Where does the tutoring take place?

Lessons usually take place in the student's home. However they can take place in a public place, such as a library. They also can take place online, via Skype and an interactive whiteboard.

How long does each session last?

Sessions are usually 1 hour long. However, I can occasionally offer 30 minute sessions (online only).

Yes, I support many students who are not in school for various reasons.

Yes, I can offer holiday tutoring as well as term time daytime tutoring.

Yes, I have an enhanced DBS check, which is on the annual update service.

There are many reasons why tutoring can be beneficial for your child. They may need extra support in a subject that they are falling behind in, or it could be that they need to increase their confidence in specific areas. As a specialist teacher, I am able to tailor the learning specifically to the student and their needs.

Yes, feedback is provided half-termly to the parent/student on how things are going.

What equipment does my child need?

For children in primary school, they do not need to provide anything, I will have everything they need to complete their lessons.
 
For children in secondary school, they will need: a pad of 5mm squared paper, a 30cm ruler an HB pencil, a blue or black pen, a protractor and scientific calculator.
